People arrange different kinds of the festival on the occasion of Chaitra Sankranti. The Hindu people perform “Charak puja.” People cook different types of food such as Fried rice, 20 types of Shak, vegetables and others. They keep food like muri, batasha, sweets and others.

In the morning of the occasion, some people perform prayers devoted to summer fruits. Different kinds of melas (fairs) are arranged such as Gajon mela. The mela generally lasts for 7 days.
