Determiners হলো এমন কিছু শব্দ, যা noun বা noun phrase-এর পূর্বে বসে এবং সেটি নির্দিষ্ট (specific) নাকি সাধারণ (generic) সেটি নির্দেশ করে। Determiners noun-এর অর্থকে পরিষ্কার করে এবং noun-এর পূর্বে বসে তা কী রকম বা কতটা নির্দিষ্ট তা বোঝায়।

Specific Determiners এমন কিছু শব্দ, যা নির্দিষ্ট কোনো ব্যক্তি, বস্তু বা স্থান নির্দেশ করে। যখন আমরা একটি নির্দিষ্ট কিছু নিয়ে কথা বলি, তখন আমরা specific determiner ব্যবহার করি।

Specific Determiners are used to indicate particular people, things, or places. They are used when we talk about something specific that both the speaker and listener are familiar with.

Specific Determiners-এর প্রকারভেদ:

• The definite article: The
• Demonstratives: These, this, those, that
• Possessives: My, his, her, your, its, their, our, whose
• Interrogatives: Which

   (একটি ছেলে মাঠে দৌড়াচ্ছিল।)
   এখানে a boy একটি indefinite singular noun, যা কোনো নির্দিষ্ট ছেলেকে বোঝাচ্ছে না।
