It was a bright sunny morning. I was going to college with some of my friends. We were in a hilarious mood as we were talking about our plan to go on a picnic.

Suddenly a car hit one of our friends. At once he fell on the road. We hired an auto rickshaw and we took our injured friend to a nearby hospital. He was transferred to the emergency ward without delay. I was waiting outside for the doctor’s report. I was very scared. His family was not well-off. His father earned little.

When the doctor came, he announced that his leg was fractured. So, we informed his father. He came within half an hour. For our part, we decided that the money to be collected for the picnic would go for the treatment of our friend. The operation of his fractured leg was done in due time. He had a plastered leg. In two weeks’ time, he came to college in a wheelchair. He was very grateful to us.

After some months, he could walk again. He started coming to college. We had a picnic after two months on the same day as planned before. We had a wonderful evening on the picnic day. It went according to our plan. That time there was no incident to destroy our merriment.
