Too Much Cunning Overreaches Itself Story: Once a farmer had a donkey. The donkey thought himself to be very clever. He used to carry heavy load for his master alone to a market which was on the other side of river. One morning when the donkey reached the river, he decided ……………………. by wading across the water.

Finding no alternative he crosses the river. Luckily, he was carrying sacks of salt on that day. When he scrambled swam to up the bank of the river, he noticed that the sacks of salt loaded on his back had become lighter. He felt very proud of himself. He decided to go the market by the same route from to next time onwards. But on the next, the donkey was carrying a load of sponge. On reaching the river, he very cleverly started swimming through the river. But instead of the load becoming lighter, it became heavier and the donkey drowned. Though he thought himself clever, actually, he was foolish. His foolishness paved the way for his death.

But this time the load became so heavy soaking water that the donkey drowned. Though he thought himself clever, really he was foolish. And for his foolishness, he died.
